Melissa Holden has worked in academic publishing for over 10 years holding positions at Wiley, Taylor & Francis and most recently SAGE.  In the last 5 years at SAGE, she has been dedicated to developing the Open Access program, firstly managing OA titles and transitioning OA journals into SAGE’s systems. She has progressed to become SAGE’s Global Open Access Program Manager overseeing processes for the growing OA portfolio of over 150 journals.  In this role she manages the creation, implementation and running of OA processes seeking to streamline and automate them to ensure efficient workflows and positive author experience.
